The window of our perception of the universe:
A German church, a Japanese Pagodah, the moon, the planets of our solar system, the milky way, and, behind the veil, the Unknown.
The milky way is displayed as seen from the northern and southern hemisphere, embroidered according to spectral classes and magnitudes with seed pearls on cotton. Planets were approximated by available cotton prints, the window frame and the Japanese roofs by batic fabrics. Veil in silk chiffon.
Everything is hand-sewn, hand-embroidered and hand-quilted. No machines were involved in the making.
